Key considerations and preliminary operations
LEARN ABOUT OUR PROPOSAL
Review our project proposal on this website and choose the one that interests you the most. These projects are carefully selected and exclusive, ensuring an unforgettable experience for our volunteers. For the benefit of our participants, we have not diversified our offer; we have a maximum of five projects, allowing us to provide a personalized experience with quality and guarantee.
In addition, they are linked to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), a global action plan adopted by the United Nations in 2015, composed of 17 goals and 169 targets aimed at eradicating poverty, protecting the planet, and ensuring peace and prosperity for all.
One tool to achieve these goals is through tourism-related activities—in our case, volunteer tourism (voluntourism) and conventional tourism. To address SDG gaps, we have linked our projects to the most important resource within the heritage-tourism combination of our region: the Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu, whose value we highlight on this page.
Our projects are supervised by active, experienced entrepreneurs. If you have any questions or requirements for your stay, we can help you choose the right project and will take your suggestions into account.
TRAVEL AND PAYMENTS
FIRST – Learn, review, choose, and prepare your trip, selecting the best option according to your expectations and affinities with any of our projects.
SECOND – Obtain your passport and visa according to the requirements of your country of origin, taking into account that your stay in Peru will be for 30 days (1 month), with the possibility of an extension.
THIRD – Find our registration button and complete the corresponding form, indicating the chosen project. Next, as a sign of formalization, deposit the sum of USD 10 into the bank account that we will provide via our official email, in order to protect both your security and ours. This payment will allow us to issue a receipt as proof of our legality and will be deducted from the total amount due for the project.
FOURTH – Based on your expression of intent, we will draft a specific contract for our agreement, considering the conditions and interests of both parties. This contract must be signed one month (30 days) before your departure date. At the same time, you must deposit or pay by phone 40% of the total cost of your project into our bank account.
FIFTH – Fifteen days before your trip to Cusco, Peru, you must pay the remaining 60% of the total project cost. You can do this through the same payment method as before or via phone payment. It is a mandatory condition to complete the agreed total payment before your departure, as once this is verified, we will be able to issue the corresponding SUNAT payment receipt.
SIXTH – It is very important to coordinate with the airline that will take you from your country of origin to Lima regarding your arrival time at Jorge Chávez International Airport and with the connecting airline that will take you to Alejandro Velasco Astete Airport in Cusco. You must send us this information through the communication channels we will be using.
SEVENTH – Finally, our staff will be waiting for you upon arrival at Alejandro Velasco Astete Airport to transfer you to our headquarters (MY HOME) in the city of Cusco for an informative meeting before your transfer and location at the project site, where we will provide you with key information about your stay, the project, the people involved, and the general rules of the organization.
