With more than 40 years of experience in tourism, and at the same time with the parallel concern for heritage preservation in the Cusco region, the travel agency “MACHUPICCHU WORLD PROJECTS & TRAVEL” is organized  , which from a different vision, recognizes the delicate balance between global attention and local sustainability.

It is not intended to be just another travel agency; otherwise; an option that connects tourism with community volunteering, a combination that has been called VOLUNTURISMO in the travel industry for a long time. A tourist modality that offers travelers the opportunity to go beyond traditional tours. Our approach is based on the conviction that travel should enrich not only the visitor, but also the host communities, preserving our cultural and natural resources (including the environment) for future generations.

Likewise, by organizing impactful voluntourism experiences, we seek to reduce the pressure on sites such as Machu Picchu, or the city of Cusco, (both declared World Heritage by UNESCO), while grouping local projects and initiatives, articulating a Tourism Cluster as a horizontal collaboration method in the value chain of our operations, adding products and services in them in order to shorten the gaps,  which are generally produced by the concentration of mass tourism in the two aforementioned “flagship destinations”.

In summary: We think about the positive experience of the traveler, the preservation of cultural and natural resources, as well as the benefit of the host community and its relationship with the sustainable development goals (SDGs) promoted by the United Nations (UN).
